Pink Named Face Of V8 Supercars Australia
|
Pink has always been one of the boys and now, even more so – as the face of V8 Supercars Australia. Launching her 3 year tenure as ambassador for the sport last night, chairperson of V8, Tony Cochrane, explained why Pink. And his reasons for liking her seem much the same as ours. “She’s not afraid to be different. She’s bold, she’s outspoken and she’s unapologetic,” Cochrane told the SMH. “She’s the most popular modern day artist in this country by a very long margin,” he said. “I’m stoked about it, it’s awesome,” Pink said of her newest adventure. “We got to test drive the cars while we were there and it has been a really fun ride,” she said. Pink: ‘Idol’ finalists butchered my song
Pink has said that she wasn’t impressed with American Idol’s top 13 finalists’ group performance of her song ‘So What’ during the show’s finale. “I heard it through the grapevine that someone butchered my song on TV,” she wrote on her Twitter. “Does that mean I’ve ‘made it’?” The artist, who is currently on tour in Australia, previously appeared on American Idol in 2007 for the show’s annual ‘Idol Gives Back’ episode. She reportedly fought with the show’s producers, who wanted to alter the lyrics to her song ‘U and Ur Hand’. The singer refused to change the track and instead performed her hit ‘Who Knew’. |
Pink and Carey back together
![]() It’s a good thing Pink and her husband Carey Hart have a sense of humor. The singer, who acknowledges in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres that she and her ex are a couple again, says she finds it funny to perform her hit song “So What” – which contains some choice words for Hart. “He’s in the audience so when I sing, ‘He’s a tool,’ now that’s my favorite line,” she tells DeGeneres. “Hi, Honey, that’s you.” When the talk show host offers her congratulations on being “happy” and “back together” after splitting up, Pink says, “We are. Thank you.” Pink and Hart got married in Costa Rica in January 2006 and announced their split two years later, but, “We didn’t do the paperwork deal,” says Pink. Asked if she and the motocross racer would consider having another wedding ceremony, Pink says coyly, “I love a party.” |
Pink rubbishes ‘fabricated’ bisexual claims
Pink has hit out at an article in a tabloid newspaper which suggested she was a bisexual. The singer was reported to have told the News of the World that she was “not embarrassed” by her sexual orientation and would be “just as happy with a new woman”. But speaking to the New York Daily News, a spokesperson for the singer said the story had been “entirely fabricated”. On Twitter, Pink, who is currently touring in the UK, described the interview as “so 1991”. She added: “Good thing people write articles about me so I can get my facts straight. “Can’t wait for the day when people stop talking about sexual preference or that a woman is a CEO and actually start making the world liveable.” Pink, who is married to motocross star Carey Hart, has faced persistent stories about her sexuality throughout her career. |
Pink & Carey Reunited!
Pop star Pink has reportedly rekindled her romance with ex-husband Carey Hart, one year after their split. The couple parted ways last February after two years of marriage and the singer subsequently admitted harboring feelings for her former partner. Hart and Pink — real name Alecia Moore — sparked reports of a reconciliation after they were caught in a public kiss on New Year’s Eve. And Hart has now moved into the singer’s Malibu, Calif., home, according to Us Weekly. A source tells the tabloid: “Pink is head over heels for Carey and wants to try it again, but she is proceeding cautiously … it never really ended. They just took a break on the marriage because they couldn’t make it work never seeing each other. She never gave up hope that it would work.” |
