The So What star puts the success of her new record down to discovering her vulnerable side following the break-up of her marriage to motorcross racer Carey Hart, 33.

She said: “It’s helped both of us, because we had to figure out how we could have a really healthy friendship.

“Creating songs is my favourite part, but I’ve had consistent agony and joy.

“I’m a survival-oriented person – I think when I’m writing songs it’s my chance to be vulnerable.

“I’m useless when I’m happy. I find a lot of other artists – painters, film-makers and writers – are the same. I don’t find myself alone in thinking that happiness is useless as an emotion.”

Album highlight Crystal Ball is the song that best sums up Pink’s never-say-die attitude.

The 29-year-old’s dad likes it too, even if he does yell a bit too loud about it sometimes.

She revealed: “The day me and Carey split up, my dad came to hang out with me in New York and I played him that song.

“My dad gets really excited about music and he had the headphones on.

As she sang her hit single several celebrities in the audience clapped along.

It is rumoured that Pink is not Katy’s number one fan.

She told Gossip Girls: “What did I think of Perry’s song? I thought I Kissed a Girl was trivializing being gay.

“I’ve been speaking to my gay girlfriends about it, and they’re kinda put off by it. I’m not judging and comparing, though.”

Pink did have one reason to smile though, she picked up the Most Addictive Track Award for ‘So What.’

Hunting as a hobby is not ‘cool’ and it is surprising that Prine William is into it. This is precisely what the American singer Alecia Moore (Pink) is saying and has questioned the prince for the same. However, she is disappointed as he failed to reply the letter questioning his decision to hunt as a hobby, insisting it’s “a bit rude”.

An avid PETA activist, Pink, had once declined the offer to perform at a birthday bash for the Prince and challenged him over his views on hunting.

“I’m still waiting for a reply to my letter to Prince William. He wanted me to play at a concert for his 21st birthday, but I wrote back saying I wouldn’t until he explained why he went hunting. It’s a bit rude, isn’t it?” the Daily Express quoted her, as saying.

The 29-year-old singer had posed a similar question to the prince’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and has yet to hear back. “I also wrote to the Queen… asking why bearskins couldn’t be made of synthetic material,” she said. “I don’t get that we can’t question people just because of their position in society. I support PETA; I want to make people think about their responsibilities. I don’t care if they have a crown,” she added.

Pop punk PINK considers therapy a waste of time – preferring instead to write songs about her troubles. The ‘So What’ hitmaker checked into an Arizona health centre in the summer (08) because she feared she was becoming addicted to alcohol.

But the singer, who split from husband Carey Hart earlier this year (08), finds it impossible to open up to professionals – insisting writing lyrics is the best way to overcome her emotional woes. She says , “I either say nothing or tell jokes. There was this one therapist who told me, ‘I really like you and think you’re really funny, but when are you going to start telling the truth?’ “I just said, ‘Fine. I’m going to write a song and then I’m gonna kill myself’. “For me, therapy doesn’t really work, but I like putting myself in the most uncomfortable situations. If you call it, you take the sting out of it.

“That Family Portrait song (from her album Missundaztood) hurt the whole family, but it swept everything up and we were better for it.”

TROUBLE singer PINK shudders at the thought of America’s Thanksgiving holiday – because her last family celebration was a disaster, which saw her dump food on her now ex-father-in-law’s head, get drunk and end up in hospital.
The pop star blames her awful turkey day memories on the tequila she knocked back with friends before lunch.
She tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood, “I ended up with 13 stitches in my hand, the food was all over the floor.
“We decided between six of us to drink three bottles of Patron before 11am, and when somebody was saying grace, I decided that the sweet potatoes should be on my father-in-law’s head, so I dumped the bowl on his head.
“I ended up in the pool, and I almost had a heart attack and then I was chopping ice and I cut my hand open, had to go to the ER but I couldn’t feel a thing; it was fascinating actually – when you’re that drunk and you can just watch the stitches happening.
“And then I set my bedroom on fire because we (Pink and ex-husband Carey Hart) went upstairs to have a quickie (sex) and I left a cigarette in the oven mitt.”
Pink is hoping the upcoming Thanksgiving break, at the end of November (08), is a lot less eventful.
